Associate Professional Counselor
Thelsea received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Prior to that, she attended Agnes Scott College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in creative writing. Thelsea is a highly skilled and compassionate counselor who loves to find creative ways to help her clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences. She enjoys working with diverse populations and assisting clients with a variety of challenges including anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. She has extensive training working with clients who are in recovery.
Thelsea believes the more we learn about ourselves, the better equipped we are to establish peaceful and balanced lives. She operates from an existential framework utilizing various techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Every client has a unique experience. Thelsea works to create a safe and encouraging environment that allows her clients to honor their experience and grow at their own pace.
