Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Shani Johnson, is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) that brings an interactive and solution-focused style to working with her clients. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Florida and her Master’s Degree in Social work from the University of Central Florida. Shani’s therapeutic approach utilizes a supportive partnership that is client-centered, to provide empowerment, support and new practical approaches to helping children and families address personal life challenges. With over 13 years of experience in helping children, adolescents, and families throughout multiple settings, Shani has been trained in many techniques such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Play Therapy and other evidenced-based therapeutic techniques. She believes in the strength and resilience of the individual and therefore integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.
At Health Minds, Shani is focused on helping children during individual and/or family psychotherapy, with concerns that include but are not limited to: Depression, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD Interventions, Behavioral modifications, Attachment and Relational Conflict, Trauma/Abuse, Adoption, Grief/Loss, Divorce Adjustment, & Parent Education. Evening and weekend hours are available to accommodate the unique schedules of busy families.
