Kaitlyn Bartfay, M.S.
Kaitlyn earned her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in History degree from University of Central Florida located in Orlando, FL. Kaitlyn has worked in community and private mental health settings and treated a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families work through various life challenges. Kaitlyn's experiences are wide ranging and have included Family Outpatient work, Parent Resiliency Enrichment, Centralized Receiving System Assessor, and Youth Emergency Services Clinician. These experiences have deepened her skills and competencies in treating children and adolescents presenting with a number of mental health issues including, ADHD, grief and loss, crisis intervention, relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and depression. She has particular expertise in improving emotion regulation and impulse control in children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD.
Kaitlyn takes an integrative approach to therapy that also incorporates proven best practice methods to meet individual needs. She utilizes a family systems approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Behavioral Modification, and Social Skills Training. Kaitlyn is passionate about helping individuals learn to cope with their struggles, face their emotions in the present, and build a healthy relationship with those important in their lives.
