Kaitlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in History degree from University of Central Florida located in Orlando, FL. Kaitlyn has worked in inpatient psychiatric hospital units as well as community mental health settings and has treated a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families through various life challenges.  Kaitlyn's experiences are wide ranging and have included Family Outpatient work, Parent Resiliency Enrichment, Centralized Receiving System Assessor, and Youth Emergency Services Clinician. These experiences have deepened her skills and competencies in treating those clients presenting with a number of mental health issues including: ADHD, grief and loss, crisis intervention, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and depression. 

 

 

Kaitlyn takes an integrative approach to therapy that also incorporates proven best practice methods to meet individual needs. She utilizes a person-centered approach as well as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strength based, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Kaitlyn is passionate about helping individuals learn to cope with their struggles, face their emotions in the present, and build a healthy relationship with those important in their lives.
