Shannon McMillen
Executive Functioning Coach

Shannon McMillen has been teaching for 35 years in private and public schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from UGA in Early Childhood, Reading Specialist, and Gifted Education. She graduated with her Educational Specialist Degree from Brenau University in 1995. Shannon has worked with gifted students and students struggling with reading. She has used executive functioning skills in her classroom with struggling students as well as with those that excel. EF coaching helps students manage their "school life". If they can keep up with their "things" and assignments, stay on track, and complete tasks from beginning to end; this transfers to their adult life in college, the workforce, relationships, and raising a family.

Shannon has used Executive Function skills in her home for all three of her children and helping herself manage the busy life of a working mother. She believes EF skills are an asset everyone and anyone can use to better their day-to-day lives. Focusing on these skills and using them in relationships, school, and work helps everyone be the most productive and best version of themselves. Shannon lives in Gwinnett County with her family, four cats, and two dogs.
